Rachel and Audrey both were out of town this weekend on a tour for the University Choir and so Shelley and I decided to have blast from our childhood weekend!
First we started off making a huge mess with a mixture of water and corn starch that I called Gak back in middle school. That stuff is so much fun! It’s like a liquid and a solid at the same time… weird.
Then we spent the next two days making a life size paper mache raptor. I had just watched Jurassic Park for the first time and decided that the Demon Raptors were my favorite dinosaurs. It took quite a bit of newspaper and a sticky flour and water mixture that ended up all over the kitchen floor. We finished it the next morning after half of it dried and then spent the afternoon cleaning the kitchen because we had made such a big mess!
While we were waiting for the Demon Raptor to dry enough to move her off the floor so we could clean up the kitchen we made some homemade play-doh. I made these two froggies and then we saved the extras for later when we got bored again.
