This was the first Easter I got to be home for in two years. As much as I loved the little packages my mom always sent me, it's not the same as being home with the family and partaking of a real Easter feast.
As always mom made her little bunny cars. Apparently they taste good, but I don't think I've ever actually eaten one. I think I feel too much like a murderer if I did that, cause they are just so cute.
We dyed eggs, all four of us. At first we used the mixture on the box for the dye, but most of us are extremely impatient so we made a new batch of dye with just three tablespoons of vinegar and no water. The eggs came out of those with the colors we were wanting super fast.
This is most of the eggs we dyed. Boo Bear's are on the bottom, J$'s are on the left, Lo-Lo's were on the top row and mine were the middle right.
This one I made in honor of my Elder in Romania, it's the country's flag.
Lo-Lo also made this one in honor of the Elder, it's his favorite super hero, the Flash.
All in all, it was a nice Easter and we had a wonderful church meeting that really helped remind me of the real reason we celebrate this day. Not for the chocolate, candy, and cute bunnies, but for our loving brother who willingly suffered everything for us, so we could have eternal life. He died for each and everyone of us and he arose from his grave and conquered death. I am forever grateful and although I will never be able to repay that debt, I hope I can live in a way that emulates him and all he stood for.
