Dev's goal for this year is to get a new book each month in order to build up an awesome library of awesome and fantastic books... how could I ever say no when I love reading so much! We went to Barnes & Noble, and originally I was wanting to get the Harry Potter series (because I'm a sucker for most children fiction books... in fact that was the first place I went in the store...) but then we found this table with these beautiful books on it.
These books are just plain beautiful, hardback and complete classics. They are going to look fantastic on our handmade bookshelf. Of course we had to get the Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis, it's a fantastic series and I am definitely planning on reading this to my children.
I ended up not being able to decide between Hitchhiker's Guide, Jurassic Park, and The Count of Monte Cristo. But once I saw this book I just had to get it. Jules Verne is my favoritest author EVER!!! I love this stories and this book just happened to have a few of my favorites. Like Around the World in 80 Days, Journey to the Center of the Earth and my all-time favorite book, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. I am really looking forward to my monthly shopping excursions to the bookstore now!
I love books! They can always make me smile. I have several favorites from my childhood that have a 25 cent price on them. :-)
