I thought that since I was 20 I would never again have to go to an activity day meeting of any sort, but when your mother is the stake primary president the unexpected happens. My mom has been stressing constantly about this for quite sometime. They decided to do pioneer theme out in the middle of nowhere, beautiful gorgeous country! It was so nice outside and the weather was perfect. It had rained the night before and early that morning but it stopped raining and warmed up enough to dry the mud. My mother was in charge of the candle making part of the day and she enlisted the help of our whole family. My job for the whole day was to melt wax to fill up the containers the girls were dipping their candles in. It kept me quite busy and we only had a few hiccups but all-in-all it was a very successful but long day.
Me, while helping set up and before I was completely exhausted.
Contemplating how much I would love to live out in the country with animals and the beautiful land.
They had a horse carriage ride and I really, really wanted to ride on it. So when the day was done and we were starting to clean up, I went and asked the driver if she would be willing to give me a ride, and she said YES!!! I was way excited (if you can’t tell by the look on my face :D). It was just a short carriage ride but I got to pet the horse’s nose too! His name is Flash and he is such a sweetheart! He was so gentle and so good with letting the kids get up all in his face!
So after a long day of getting up at 7 o’clock, leaving for the place at 8 and then finishing up and heading home at 1:30, and then showering and getting cleaned up we finally made our way to our favorite restaurant ever, CHEDDER’S!!!! It was delicious and we had plenty left over for Sunday lunch. Yummy!
