This weekend my boyfriend came down to visit, and after a spending a fun weekend with him, he left as my fiancé for his internship in Austin. That's right my fiancé, I'm engaged!
And as is mandatory with every engagement, here's how he proposed.
"He refused to tell me where we were going Friday night, but I knew he would be asking tonight. My parents let him drive their little car because his was full of all his stuff he was taking to Austin. He put the first address into his GPS and started driving, missed the turn it said to take, but luckily it was able to recalculate the directions and soon enough I had figured out where we were going so I was able to help him get there. We were headed to Pizza Hut... I know very "romantic" but that was were we had our first date, in a Pizza Hut up at school where you can go in and sit down and order and eat. When we got to this Pizza Hut, it was just a take out place... ha! So instead of worrying about finding another Pizza Hut to eat at, we ordered our pizza and then went to the park to eat it. The weather was beautiful and it was a lot of fun to sit and talk and reminisce about how much has changed since that first date. We were both so nervous cause we knew what was coming but the food helped to settle our stomachs. After we finished eating we got back in the car and he put another address in the GPS. The drive was a lot longer this time but we ended up at Adventure Landing. Our second date we went on was to The Craze up at school where we did laser tag and mini golf. Well Friday night we not only played laser tag (which he won only by a thousand points) and mini golf (which he probably won too but we didn't keep score, we just enjoyed the giant animal decorations that surrounded the course) but we got to ride in go-karts too! It was a lot of fun I don't think I've ever done go-karts before and I just had a blast! After our adventure was over, he entered one last address into his GPS, I didn't recognize it but I was pretty sure I knew where we were going next because it was starting to get dark. He then told me that he didn't have everything thing he wanted (aka the ring) because someone had convinced him to ship it insured instead of just taking it with him while driving and that the package hadn't gotten to my house yet. I was a sucker and believed him. So when we got to the Dallas Temple and we walked around it I was just expecting him to get down on one knee and just ask with no ring. But NO he was a little liar and as he turned me around in one of those little dance circle moves and I came back to facing him, there he was on one knee with the most gorgeous ring I had ever seen. He asked me if I would stay with him forever and of course I said YES!!! We stood there for a while just enjoying each others' company until I had stopped shaking enough to get walk back to the car (just a little embarrassing but oh well). Then we drove back to my house, I got to show my parents and siblings the ring and he got to call his mother and tell her she didn't have to keep it a secret any longer. I never though this day would ever come. But I've found the perfect man to keep me company for the rest of my life and eternity. I truly am happy."
My mother (being the person that she is) had to take some pictures of us the next morning. In my opinion this is such a cute picture of the two of us!
I had to take a ring picture so everyone could see my new bling. It's just so lovely and he picked it out all by himself. It's just perfect, he knows me so well. I love him so much.
