The hiatus has been for a good reason... we bought a house!!!! It's a three bedroom, two and a half bath with a smallish yard. We just finished moving everything over and emptying most of the boxes (except for the books... we need more bookcases!)
The kitchen is my currently my favorite part of the house! It's nice and large and has plenty of counter/cabinet space and an actual pantry! It has all stainless steel appliances plus granite counter tops!
We did have to buy a fridge but it was fun to pick out exactly what we wanted, lots of room!
This is the bonus/theater room. This weekend we are painting it Tardis blue and then putting all sorts of video game/movie/we're-crazy-obsessive-nerds posters all over the slanty walls. And then we're eventually going to get some short but long black bookcases for our dvd's and xbox games. And then I plan on painting all my fandom symbols on the sides of them. I think when it's done it's going to be AWESOME!
The previous owner didn't have time to mow the yard or weed the planter boxes...
But after an evening of hard work, the lawn is now mowed and the we have peas, carrots, onions, broccoli, basil and rosemary planted.
We don't have much furniture in the living room yet but we do have this adorable songbird. The Goober is really proud of his handy work.
