Sod Studs!

My wonderful parents-in-law came up this weekend to help with some yard work. They are such awesome people!

Our patio is a little small and the Goober wanted more room for a table and chairs. So we added this small extension. Mom and I pulled up all the sod in this area while the boys were working on other projects. Then Dad came and pulled out some more dirt, spent many hours with levels and now we have a beautiful and perfect patio extension!!!

It's great as it is but we are going to stain the concrete to a matching color and it'll be even better.

After Mom and I were done digging up sod in the back the Goober sentenced us to more sod digging and replacing in the front. This section was as long as I am tall! As much as I am not of fan of yard work, I had a great time just talking with my wonderful mom. I really enjoyed that part of the day.

After lunch Mom and I took a break from digging and went and found a frame for a painting Lo-Lo did for me. We also had to stop by the hardware store and pick up another stone because Dad went all beast and broke one, LOLZ! ;)

We came back and had to move all the dirt from the patio to this spot were we had some dead grass.  If I even have to lift a shovel for the next two weeks it'll be too soon!

Dad helped the Goober organize the garage with an awesome peg board and some shelves.

The Goober also is building his own desk and used Dad's nail gun to put some fancy-smancy trim on it; all that's left is to stain it and put it in the den!  I'm so grateful I got to spend time with these two awesome people and I'm really glad it wasn't just me and the Goober doing this projects!
